in 1912, jim thorpe won the “all-around” pentathlon & decathlon at the olympic games. when awarding Thorpe his prize, King Gustav of sweden said, "You, sir, are the greatest athlete in the world", to which Thorpe replied, "Thanks, King". since that day, the winner of the global decathlon gold is regarded as “the world’s greatest athlete”.

Trey is an NCAA Champion, 2x World Champion and London Olympics Silver Medalist. Trey spent the last 20 years of his life competing to be the best in world. He specialized in the decathlon which consists of 10 events: 4 races, 3 jumping events, & 3 throwing events.

The skill, athleticism, power, speed, endurance, & mental strength demanded from the event is what drew him in - but getting to compete across multiple disciplines is what kept him training everyday for over 15 years.
